The line amplifier stage has been completely redesigned to provide improved specifications and sonic performance. The original Ampex head amplifier design has been combined with a new modern head input transformer. Ampex 440/1100/1200 series studio recorders. I still want to maintain the overall integrity of the original Ampex. I've decided I want to have the ability to switch between NAB and IEC playback equalizations from the front panel. The two 351 electronic chassis are just about finished and have been tested for playback performance.
